All Around Turkey in 10 days: the full loop by bus

The All Around Turkey Tour is the two bus legs joined together: the west coast down to Fethiye, then the inland route back up to Istanbul. Ten days, nine hotel nights, one group from start to finish. If you have ten days and want the whole country without a boat, this is the one.
The shape of the loop
It is a circle. You start and end in Istanbul, so flights are simple, and you move in one direction the whole time - south along the Aegean, east along the Mediterranean mountains, north through Cappadocia. Every night is in a different town except Istanbul (two nights at the start) and Cappadocia (two nights, because one is not enough).
Departures are on Mondays, April to October, and every published date is guaranteed.
The first five days: the coast
Two nights in Istanbul with a guided old-city day and a Bosphorus cruise. Then Gallipoli's battlefields and a night in Canakkale; Troy and Pergamon with a night near Selcuk; Ephesus and the Temple of Artemis before the drive down to Fethiye. This is the same itinerary as our Istanbul to Fethiye Tour - read that post for the day-by-day detail.
The night in Fethiye
On the longer routes the group leaves Fethiye on a boat. On this tour you sleep in a Fethiye hotel and carry on by bus the next morning, so Saturday is a lighter day: the canyon and the terraces rather than a sailing.
The last five days: inland
Saklikent Gorge and Pamukkale on day six, the drive to Cappadocia on day seven, a full Cappadocia day on day eight (balloon flight optional, Goreme Open Air Museum, fairy chimneys, Uchisar), the Derinkuyu underground city and the Salt Lake on day nine, and Istanbul on day ten. The detail is in the Fethiye to Istanbul post.
Why people choose it over the gulet routes
Time. The All Around Turkey with Gulet Cruise covers the same ground plus a full week at sea and takes 17 days. If you cannot take three weeks off, this ten-day loop gives you every major sight and still leaves room for a day or two in Istanbul at either end. If the coast matters more to you than Cappadocia, look at the Istanbul to Antalya with 3-Night Gulet Cruise instead.
What is included
Nine nights in boutique and 4-star hotels, breakfast and dinner every day, all transport, a licensed guide every day and entrance fees to the sites. Optional extras: tavern night in Istanbul, balloon flights in Pamukkale and Cappadocia, Turkish night, quad safari, Turkish bath.
