Hattusa lies East of Ankara and was once the Capital of the Hittitie Empire back in the bronze age. The ruins contain the traces of the old City, where you can see the old city walls and gates, many houses and impressive temples. The largest being the Great Temple. Dating back to beyond 1300 B.C. these ruins are listed as an UNESCO World Heritage Site.
