Camels are not naturally fighters. So to play witness to camel wrestling is something you will never forget. Taking part in camel breeding season, normally what occurs is the owners will bring out their male camels to fight one another. Dressed in their best with colourful rugs, ornate saddles and bells around their neck they are all vying for the attention of the females. To get them started off they parade a female camel in front of them. The males, naturally start to try to win the affection of the female and nothing will get in their way. They start to froth at the mouth and nostrils and their aim becomes one clear thing. They will start to push one another out of the way, knock them down, sit on one another or some are known to just make a run for it. The whole thing normally not lasting more then 10 minutes its a true spectacle. Later on, the winner is paraded through the streets of town and there is a carnival like atmosphere with all in attendance, music playing, street stalls and the proudest camel owners in the world.
