Today we are heading to the religious capital of Turkey, also the home of Sufi Whirling Dervishes, Konya. Our first visit is to Mevlana Museum. We learn some stories and information about Mevlana and his worldwide renowned Sufi philosophy. Later we go to see Selimiye Mosque, a fine illustration of Ottoman architecture. Depending on our time our next visits are Alaeddin Mosque and Castle, one of the most important structures of Konya and built by Sultan Alaeddin in 1221. We also visit Ince Minare Museum and Karatay Medresseh.
Here we will have the chance to meet a Sufi Dervish and a healer living in the town. During our discussion, he will give us first hand information about their philosophy and life.
