Today we leave behind the unusual and breathtaking scenery of Cappadocia to head over the mountains to the Unesco listed Safronbolu. Famous not only for its saffron, which flavours everything here from foods to Turkish delight, but also for its beautifully restored Ottoman houses. You can spend the afternoon wandering the cobble stone streets, taking in the local handicrafts and enjoying the beauty of these wonderfully restored homes.
