We will have breakfast at Olive House where afterwards we will cook up some veggies to pack up as snacks for later today. We will then head onto Lake Bafa, which was once a lake that was connected to the Aegean Sea. Lake Bafa is a national park that is home to birds like the Dalmatian pelican, fish eagle, common tern, pygmy cormorant and hero. The lake itself is populated by eels, Bafa grey mullet, sea bass and sea bream. In the surrounding Latmos mountains you will find wild boar, foxes, wild cats, hedgehogs and badgers. Here we can also visit Kapikiri Village and Herakleia, which are ancient sites that have been inhabited since the prehistoric ages.
We will enjoy a late lunch in the village at the family run Agora Pension.
Agora Pensions menu contains completely homemade food, mainly olive oil dishes with regional herbs, and salads prepared with herbs collected from the environment and cooked with their own organic olive oil and served in the garden.
Upon returning to the village, relax for the afternoon and enjoy Jazz music along with wine in the garden in the afternoon.
For dinner, we are heading to a local, family run restaurant with an amazing sunset. Janan is preparing a sweet “farewell” for everyone.
