Village Life

Today we will wake up to Breakfast & Bread making in the village. We will get to enjoy the fresh tomatoes, goat cheese and eggs produced daily along with freshly baked bread.

Today we will visit Soke Street Market, to buy ingredients for the rest of our stay. The villagers from the area gather here selling their freshly picked vegetables and all sorts of food such as spices, cheese, Turkish homemade supplies such as tomato and red pepper paste (salca), sun dried yoghurt with spices (tarhana).


Coming back to the village, Joan will cook for us while explaining the essentials of Turkish home cooking. Feel free to join in and get your hands dirty.


After lunch and some rest, we will take a walking tour around the village. Eskidoganbey is a part of Dilek National Park and famous with its very well preserved houses. Our tour will include a visit to Emel Aksoy's exquisite Turkish costume collection.


For dinner tonight, we are taking a small journey to the sea side of Karina, to sample the seafood along with the wine. Here you can dip your toes into the Aegean.
