Elmali is a small mountain village not too far from Fethiye. Another dot on the Turkish map that has yet to be founded by the hoards of tourists. Elma translates to apple in English, so as the name suggests the town is predominately famous for its production of apples. However, what is quite surprising is the amount of beautiful, grand houses you will find within the village. As the climate is cooler than the Mediterranean coastline, a lot of the wealthier Turkish have built houses here to escape the summer heat. You can meander through town and enjoy the gorgeous homes in this beautiful village that has been unspoilt by time and tourism.
