St Nicholas Island

This morning, after breakfast, we will set off cruising out of Fethiye Harbour bound for the famous Oludeniz Beach. Voted as one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe, the long rocky shore line and aquamarine waters do not disappoint and showcase the beauty of the area. The beach at one end is over shadowed by Baba Dag, the 2000 metre tall mountain that is said to be one of the best spots for paragliding, then to the other end of the beach is the Blue Lagoon - sometimes called as the Dead Sea. We will cruise past the beach before anchoring down on the backside of the Blue Lagoon. Here you have the chance for your first swim. You may choose to swim into the lagoon or around to the beach. We will then cruise onto Cold Spring Bay for lunch. If you are brave enough you can swim over to the natural spring that is on the edge of the rocky shoreline and dip yourself into the freezing waters coming up naturally from the earth. A quick dip is said to take 10 years off your life. For the afternoon we will cruise onto St Nicholas Island. Here we will step onto shore to have a guided tour of the ruins scattered over the island. Said to be once the home of the patron saint and his original place of death, the ruins on the island date back to 5th Century B.C. Be sure to stay behind on the island and climb to the top for one of the most spectacular sunsets of the trip. Dinner and overnight on the boat. (Optional excursion of paragliding over Oludeniz Beach).
