First off today we will visit the Museum of Aya Sofya. Once used as an ancient Roman church for over 916 years, it was later converted into a mosque after the conquest of Istanbul in 1453. Rich in history, we will get to see the Christian mosaics along side large arabic medallions show casing a mix of religions in the one building. After lunch we will ferry out onto the Bosphorus and head to the Asian side of Istanbul. Here we wander through a fresh produce market where you can work up your appetite looking at all the amazing delicious on offer before we sit down for lunch in a famous restaurant that will showcase the Turkish cuisine.
