Goreme is the most popular town in the Cappadocia region, where most travellers will stay and use as their base to explore the area. The town is within walking distance to the Open Air Museum where you can see the many churches carved into the rocks, with some impressive frescoes still in good condition. You can also access some beautiful walks in the valleys of Cappadocia from Goreme and it has a look out that is the perfect spot for sunset over this breathtaking landscape.
