This unusual valley consists of thousands of pigeon holes carved out of the soft rock, which are still used as homes to many pigeons today. During ancient times, pigeons were used to deliver messages and their droppings were used as fuel as well as fertiliser. Early Christians also used this valley to hide from the Romans.
