The Grand Bazaar is one of the largest covered markets in the world. Shop until you drop in this labyrinth of street stalls, and bargain hard with their vendors! Whatever you wish to buy, you will find it in the Grand Bazaar. The market covers 61 streets, with more than 3000 shops, which attract between 250,000 and 400,000 visitors every day. Construction of the Grand Bazaar began in 1455, soon after Fatih Sultan Mehmet conquered the great city.
