Although Dalyan has hit the tourist map, it still remains relatively unspoilt. A small fishing village that sits on the edge of Lake Koycegiz it is the entrance to the beautiful, peaceful backwaters. A cruise along the river is paramount as you cruise past the ornate Lycian Tombs carved high into the cliff faces on your way to visit the ancient thermal baths and springs. There is also the Iztuzu beach, which has a long stretch of sand and is home to the well known loggerhead caretta turtles that come to lay their eggs here.
